I grew up on a farm and start riding horses at a very young age. The Saddlebred Horses always was of great interest to me, although I never had the opportunity to ride one. In 1983 I bought my first horse, a 2year old mare, Fairy Wings, out of Wing Commander and Cameo Farewell. I started training her and in 1985 I won the South African junior championship for single harness horses under 5 years old at the National show in Bloemfontein. I continued training my horses and participated at shows throughout South Africa. Due to career changes in 1989 I had to stop training and said goodbye to my enjoyable hobby. These are a few pictures of the horses that I owned and trained during that time.
