The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for youngsters interested in horses and riding. It was founded in England in 1929 and is now represented in more than 30 countries.The Club was first founded in early days of the 1960’s as the Singapore branch of the UK Pony Club. The Singapore Branch of the Pony Club was registered in the Singapore Registry of Societies roster in 1996 to obtain its current name. Its objective is to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy the sport connected with horses. At the same time, it educates members to look after and to take proper care of their animals.Its membership is open to anyone over the age of 7 and under the age of 21. Adult membership of nonriding members is for interested parents and committee volunteers.
